I'm currently responsible for leading a small team of Technical Analysts within the Implementation Services team governing wintel and virtual infrastructure. This includes architecting and governing the wintel and virtual infrastructure footprint at IFDS in order to improve high availability, backup plus recovery, resource allocation, consolidation ratio and supportability by redesigning hardware, storage and network requirements while attaining PCI compliance and adhering to security governance. Furthermore, my responsibilities extended to Solution Design Lead on various infrastructure projects. My duties included providing expertise, leadership and direction for wintel and virtual infrastructure designs while supporting the architecture and CICD team with container platform. Additional responsibilities also included creation of core documentation such as technical design documents, infrastructure requirements documents and various design topologies.

Advisory Technical Analyst, Technology Services

July 2015 - August 2016

My primary responsibilities include architecting, designing and governing the virtual infrastructure. As a subject matter expert, I'm currently leading the design and upgrade of existing virtual infrastructure from vSphere 5 to vSphere 6. This includes a redesigned deployment of vCenter as virtual appliances with enhanced linked mode, an adaptation of vRealize Operations Manager and Zerto to support replication for Disaster Recovery plus architecting a new backup solution. I'm also accountable for created technical design documents, topologies, and standard operating procedures plus provide ongoing Technical Lead expertise on various projects such as NextGen Backup solution, Active Directory Upgrade, SAN Migration and Citrix Implementation for Developers. In addition to my advisory technical role, I also support the Wintel team with Windows infrastructure and core applications such as Citrix, SharePoint, Exchange and BES.

I'm also accountable for created technical design documents, topologies, and standard operating procedures plus provide ongoing Technical Lead expertise on various projects such as Windows 2003 Upgrade, Cloud Automation, NetBackup Integration for Virtual Infrastructure and Citrix Implementation. Additionally, to my virtual infrastructure role and Technical Lead I also provide third level technical support for core Windows Server Infrastructure such as Server 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Cluster Services, Application Request Routing, Internet Security and Acceleration plus Internet Information Services.

I was primarily responsible for the virtual infrastructure which includes vSphere 4.1 ESX, ESXi and VMware View 4.5. In addition, I was also a Technical Lead on various projects such as SAP Integration, Commvault Backup Solution and VMware View VDI. Additionally, to my VMware Administrator role I also provide third level technical support for core Windows Server Infrastructure such as Server 2000, 2003, 2008, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Cluster Services and Internet Information Services. In addition to core Windows Server Infrastructure, I was also responsible for Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Microsoft Project 2010 and Microsoft System Center Service Manager administration.
